I am WRIGHT

Coincidences. Once in my life, I believed that coincidences were just my brain connecting things at a higher level of consciousness, but not this time. No way.
Over this summer, I worked for my local government, the town. I was just an intern, but I was able to meet everyone on the staff and they got to know me. One day we were out in the field and one the staff members said to me,
"Are you a Wright?"
I had no clue what he meant, but he continued to tell me I had all the features: face, chin, but not my eyes. My eyes, he said, were not Wright. I responded to him that no, I was not a Wright. I don't know any people with that name in my family.
It was not until about a month later, I was telling the story to my parents when my Dad said, "Well, wait you are a Wright. Your Mom's side has a Wright in it". Sure enough, my Grandmother's family were Wrights. So guess what, I am a Wright.
But, this is not the coincidence I am talking about.
A few days ago I decided to stop in the most densely populated section of the city for lunch. I went to Subway. As I walked in, an older lady greeted me and I immediately thought she was too old to be working, that she should be retired. But anyway, here is our conversation.
Lady: Hello! How are you?
Me: Hi, I'm good. How are you?
Lady: (shocked that I asked back) I'm well, thank you for asking.
---made my sandwich---
Me: Thank you!
Lady: You're welcome. The city could use a little of that smile!
Well she was nice, I went on my way.
A couple days later, I decided to take a trip into the city and boarded the subway at my stop, and who was there? An elderly woman, sitting by herself, wearing her work outfit. It was the lady from Subway. I sat across from her and started a conversation. I asked her if she remembered me from work a couple days ago. She proclaimed,
"Oh yes of course, how could I forget that smile. You remind me of my granddaughter". We sat in silence for a little, then she said, "Well this is my stop, I am Charlene Wright, by the way".
I was stunned. I quickly asked, "Do you spell it with a W?"
"Yes, yes, you are right. W-R-I-G-H-T."
"Same with my grandmother's family!", the coincidences...
She replied with pride, "Now, you be happy, you hear?", and she exited the train and all I could do was smile. That smile that "the city could use a little of".
Nothing in this world is a coincidence. Everyone in your life (past, present, future) is there for a reason. No one by accident, all given with purpose. Everyone who crosses our path has a message for us. Otherwise, they would have taken a different path, left at a different time, forgotten something, or simply didn't cross us at all.
Happiness today comes from coincidences (little or big). They are God's way of remaining Anonymous. Coincidences are our indication that we are on the right path.
As for me, I am on the Wright path. I am. I am Wright.
