I just can't describe it: the World today
Published: Mar 23, 2016
I have struggled with the words to describe it. It being how I feel. I feel that there is something different, strange, unusual, and just plain weird occurring in the World right now, as you read this page, as you scroll your mouse, as you blink your eye.
Like I said before, I just can’t describe it, but I am going to attempt.
There is a fever rolling similar to 103 degrees, sweating, and chills. The fever has people acting different. I can see it in people’s eyes, they look at each other with a sense of urgency, seriousness. I can hear it in people’s voices, they are direct, to the point. I can feel it, it is tense.
There is a sense of letting go, allowing someone else to take the wheel. There is a sense of if I don’t do it, someone else will, eventually. I don’t ever believe life is negative, but there is a sense of loom, a dark shadow, a being watching over, constantly.
With this being said, there are also so many souls, which have more joy than they ever have sadness, much more happiness than you could ever believe possible. There are coincidences that exist in our world which are not human, not man-made, nor come from the stars. They are here, there, everywhere. So why is our World so different?
Like I said before, I just can’t describe it.
Don’t worry, be happy, they say. Smile more than you frown, they say. OK, I'll try it.
Today when I walked to work, I smiled at every single person I saw, on purpose. Some were awkward and some were smooth. You know what I felt, I felt relaxation, a calming breeze, the warmth of the sun shining on my face. I felt hope in the faces of the smiles back. I could see it in their eyes, the look that they were happy to be confronted with positivity. I could hear in their voice, they were relieved. They were relieved because they feel like I do. They feel the difference in the World. They feel the dark cloud, and they too, want the cloud gone.
Upon smiling, I had the sense that the world was in no one's hands but my own. Smiling gave me reassurance that if I don’t do it, no one will. Life is beautiful; life is positive, and there is no way to kill true, honest happiness.
Many souls exist on our Earth, which have more sadness than joy, much more displeasure than you could ever believe possible. There are coincidences that exist in our world which are not human, not man-made, nor come from the stars. They are here, there, everywhere. So how has this affected our World?
Like I said before, I just can’t describe it.
But I can. I really can.
With a smile, we can start something that not even the dark shadow can take away. If I smile at you and you smile at the next person, that next person will smile at another person, and before you know it, your smile has made it halfway across the globe. If you continue smiling, your smile will double in action, and exponentially your smile will reach lands that you didn’t know existed and people whom you will never have the chance to meet.
You will be the difference in what feels like a different World. You will read this page, scroll your mouse, and blink your eye in a whole new World. A world which, like I said before, I just can’t describe.
Smile, smile today. Smile tomorrow and the next day. Smile, because your World might depend on it.
