The Perception of Happiness

You could look at the same view every day for decades and always look at it the same. I have lived in the same house my entire life and the view from the ground has been one of mine for years.

The tree in the distance was planted with an acorn when I was young and it has been something that I can always come home to. Always taller, but never leaving.
This is my backyard.
Today while sitting underneath my favorite (Bloodgood) Japanese Maple tree, I thought about how the tree sees this same view. Without a second thought, I climbed the tree and captured the view above. So different, so unique, and so much better than the ground.
Each perspective, different, yet the same, gives a new story. A new perspective.
Perspective is the key to happiness.
