Walls: A Guide to Push Through
Published: Sep 2, 2015
Pain. Ouch. Ugh.
It always seems impossible.
No, it always seems impossible until it's done.
The Wall. Push through it, climb over it, work around it.
Everyone has come across a hard time, set-back, or felt lost. It is called the WALL. It appears as you would expect and simultaneously when you would least expect it. But here is my advice:
Hit the wall harder than it hits you.
Be the one who stands when the world sits. You don't have to be the same as everyone else. You can be you; it is actually preferred. When your legs scream stop, when your lungs are on fire, you see the end. But that is only the beginning, the start. That is the state where winners are made. Winners love it there. It means you are one leg and one lung closer to your goals.
When push comes to shove, you taste what you are made of. The blood, sweat, and tears arrive just as they should as you thrive. You do because you are made of more than just sugar and spice. You are made of desire, of passion, and of motivation. Not a soul can tell you what you are or what you are not. This is for you to mold, to make, to create. You are you, and that is inspiring.
You might bend until you break because it's all you can take. Think you have hit your limit? You are confined only by the walls you build yourself. On your knees you look up, decide you have had enough. You get mad, you get sad. Regardless of what you get, you get strong. You wipe your hands together just like any other day. You shake it off just like Taylor Swift says.
Then what do you do?
Then you stand. You stand for all to see or no one to see. You stand because you want to. You stand for you. You stand when no one watches, because you watch yourself. You were made to succeed, and you will. You stand for everyone who cannot, and you stand for those who stand beside you. You stand.
When you stand, you push. You push through the wall that you have made. You climb over the forest that stands between you and your dreams. You work around the barrier that keeps you from you.
Push that wall, because only then will you understand you must push your limits to understand your potential. And oh my. Then you will see. You will stand as tall as the trees, and as strong as concrete. You will push like you have the world at your finger tips. You will succeed and do so much more than you could have imagined.
Some may run from a wall, but I run towards it. Why? Because why not? Once over the wall, there is so much more to discover. I am not to be kept complacent. I am to be kept moving.
Find a wall. Conquer it. Achieve it. Place it in your past and let it drive your future. You can and you will.
